Adrian “AJ” Jones – Founder & Director of Technology

Adrian Jones
Adrian traveled to Vancouver in 2001 to attend Simon Fraser University, and graduated in 2003 with a Master of Applied Science in Interactive Arts and Technology. The degree is a mouthful, but the reason for taking the program was simple – it was the closest thing to MIT’s Media Lab that Canada had at the time. And Adrian had a passion for new media, interactivity, and the web. Focused on combining computer science and art in meaningful and compelling ways, Adrian finished with a thesis on Object-Oriented Interactive Cinema. Ask him about it sometime.
Adrian is an expert in Agile, and especially Scrum methodology. He is a Certified Scrum Product Owner.
An interesting past career of Adrian’s was working as a web developer for the Vancouver Canucks, where he got to revel in his love for hockey while working on exciting and challenging new media projects. While there, Adrian designed and programmed the Canucks Fantasy Hockey application, the Canucks Trivia Game, as well as many other interesting projects. He headed up the technical side of the Canucks’ paid Fan Club, as well as their E-News email club, and built the interactivity and animation for Fin’s page (the Canucks’ mascot). Adrian was to go-to guy for HTML, CSS, Javascript, jQuery, AJAX, PHP, MySQL, and Flash development.
Since the Canucks Adrian has been fortunate to have worked with some pretty well known companies and organizations, including Stanford University, The Linux Foundation, Kobo, Intel, Samsung, Pfizer, the NY Education Department, and many more.
